A Year to Celebrate, A Summer to Enjoy

Dear Newcastle Family and Staff -

As we close the 2025-26 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible year it has been at Newcastle Elementary School District.

Throughout the year, our students have demonstrated curiosity, perseverance, kindness, and growth. Whether in the classroom, on the stage, on the athletic field, through community service, or during the countless everyday moments that make up school life, our students have made us proud. Their accomplishments are a reflection of the strong partnership we share with our families, staff, and community.

This year brought many reasons to celebrate. We recognized outstanding student achievement, expanded opportunities for learning, and continued our commitment to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging educational experience for every child. We also celebrated one of our own as 5th grade teacher Emmy Ainsworth was named a Placer County Teacher of the Year, a well-deserved honor that reflects the exceptional educators who serve our students every day.

As we conclude the year, we also recognize the retirement of Principal Cindy Giove. Mrs. Giove's dedication to Newcastle Elementary School and her unwavering commitment to students, families, and staff have left a lasting impact on our school community. We are grateful for her years of service and wish her a wonderful and well-earned retirement.

At the same time, we are excited to welcome Danielle Fee as our next Principal. Mrs. Fee brings a strong background in educational leadership, a passion for student success, and a commitment to building positive relationships. We look forward to the next chapter of Newcastle Elementary School under her leadership.

I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to our teachers, classified staff, administrators, Board of Trustees, Parent Teacher Club, volunteers, and community partners. The success of our students is possible because of your dedication, support, and belief in the importance of public education.

As summer begins, I encourage our students to take time to relax, explore, read, and enjoy time with family and friends. We hope the coming months provide opportunities for rest, adventure, and making lasting memories.

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of educating and supporting your children. It is an honor to serve this remarkable community.

On behalf of everyone at Newcastle Elementary School District, I wish you a safe, happy, and enjoyable summer. We look forward to welcoming our students back on August 6, 2026 for another great year.

Make it a great summer!
Sean Healy
