Newcastle Elementary School District is proud to share that our very own 5th grade teacher, Emmy Ainsworth, has been named the 2026 Placer County Teacher of the Year by the Placer County Office of Education. She was honored last Friday morning with a surprise announcement by County Superintendent of Schools Gayle Garbolino-Mojica.

This recognition reflects Ms. Ainsworth's exceptional dedication to students, her strong instructional practice, and the positive impact she makes each and every day in our school community. Ms. Ainsworth is known for creating engaging learning experiences, building strong relationships with students and families, and serving as a leader among her colleagues.

In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Ainsworth has played an important role in supporting mathematics instruction and collaboration across our district. Her passion for teaching and commitment to student success truly represent the best of Newcastle Elementary.
