Newcastle Knights News

Every Knight, Every Day
2025-2026

A heartfelt thank you to our veterans and our school community for an outstanding Veterans Day celebration. We are especially grateful to Lucie Schlicht for her beautiful performance of the National Anthem and to our guest speaker, representing the U.S. Army, Ray Mata, for sharing his inspiring message of service and dedication. We honor the bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of those who have answered the call to serve our nation.

Students and adults gather in a school gymnasium for an event.

We appreciate the wonderful way our ASB students represented Newcastle during the Del Oro Homecoming Parade on Halloween. Way to go, Knights!

A group of students poses with a decorated float, likely for a parade.

TK had an incredible week learning about Community Helpers and the tools of their trade: Tactical Officer Chris Knight and his SWAT van, Deputy DA Tara Crabill and her badge, Nurse Jenna Colamartino and her stethoscope, Principal Cindy Giove and her walkie-talkie, PG&E Construction Operator Forrest Thomas and his vest/light, and Fire Captain Jake Hodges and his fire truck. We are so grateful for how our community members enrich our students’ experiences!
