It was a BIG week for our students! Here are some of the highlights:

BIG THANKS to Carli Pastrama for being our October College and Career Guest Speaker for the 6th - 8th graders! Her dynamic presentation really highlighted all the incredible opportunities someone can pursue with a degree in Recreation Parks and Tourism Administration. Her passion for her work really shines through.

Upcoming Events:

It's that time of year again—PIE TIME! We're thrilled to partner with The Pie Company for our annual fundraiser. For the past five years, they’ve been delivering delicious pies, and this year is no exception. Order forms will be sent home with students and are also available in the office or online at https://www.ptcnewcastle.org/fundraising, starting this week. Each pie is only $20, with a variety of flavors to choose from. Orders are due by Thursday, November 6, and pick-up will be on Tuesday, November 18, from 11:30-1:00 PM in front of the District Office. Proceeds from last year’s sales helped us fund five assemblies and provide field trip support, so your participation truly makes a difference! Don’t miss out on these tasty treats!

Annual Halloween Costume Parade - Please join us for our annual costume parade on Friday, October 31st. The parade begins at ~8:30 am around the track on the upper campus. Parents are welcome to join us on the field to cheer on the students. Please note that parking is very limited; carpool if possible and/or consider parking on the lower campus. Please note that costumes must adhere to the school dress code. Full face masks, weapons, and excessive gore are not allowed.

Veterans Day Celebration - Calling all Veterans and their families to join us on Thursday, November 6th at 8:30 am for a very special student assembly honoring all those who have served our country. A cookie reception follows, sponsored by our PTC. Parking is limited, so consider dropping off guests and then parking on the lower campus.  *NOTE - Our TK - 2nd grade students do not stay for the entire assembly; they leave after their performance. If you would like your TK-2nd grader to attend the entire ceremony, please keep them with you in the morning and then check them in at the office after the event.

Yearbook Cover Contest- If your student is an artist or just loves to draw, we are inviting all students to submit a drawing for the front cover of the 2025-2026 yearbook!  More details HERE

Placer Foothills Mountain Bike Team (PFMBTC) - Our volunteer-run organization currently serves nearly 100 student athletes in middle schools (Grades 6-8) and high schools across the Placer Foothills in Rocklin, Lincoln, Loomis, Auburn, and Colfax. We are affiliated with the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and compete in interscholastic cross-country mountain bike races across Northern California in the NorCal League. We’re excited about the growth of youth mountain biking in the region and would love to see even more kids on bikes.
