October Break - NO SCHOOL October 6th - 10th!
Due to the break, the next Parent Week Ahead will be on October 19th. 
We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and FUN week off!

Join us for a fall evening of FREE family festivities at our Knight in the Country event on Friday, October 24th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM! This is our PTC’s way of thanking you for your unwavering support of the Newcastle PTC and our school community!

Event Highlights:

  • Cost: FREE for all Newcastle students and their families!

  • Activities: Enjoy music, line dance lessons, a dessert walk, photo booth, hoop hauler, art alley, face painters, balloon artist, and much more! 

Food for Purchase:

  • BBQ Fundraiser: Support our 2025 8th Grade DC Trip with delicious BBQ specials, Burgers/veggie burgers, smoked tri-tip, and hot dogs! 

  • Treats: Indulge in Poppys Shaved Ice & Floof Cotton Candy. % of proceeds go back to the school!

Upcoming Events:

Annual Halloween Costume Parade - Please join us for our annual costume parade on Friday, October 31st. The parade begins at ~8:20 am around the track on the upper campus. Parents are welcome to join us on the field to cheer on the students. Please note that parking is very limited; carpool if possible and/or consider parking on the lower campus. Please note that costumes must adhere to the school dress code. Full face masks, weapons, and gore are not allowed.

Veterans Day Celebration - Calling all Veterans and their families to join us on Thursday, November 6th at 8:30 am in our amphitheater (If there is inclement weather we will move to the cafeteria) for a very special student assembly honoring all those who have served our country. A cookie reception follows, sponsored by our PTC. Parking is limited, so consider dropping off guests and then parking on the lower campus.  *NOTE - We are looking for a Veteran who is willing to be a guest speaker at this event. Please contact Mrs. Giove cgiove@newcastle.k12.ca.us if you would like to participate.

Athletics - The league is still finalizing schedules. All athletes must complete an Athletics Packet to participate. 


Dads on Duty  We’re looking for dads, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures interested in volunteering during lunchtime to provide extra supervision, engage with students, and help create a safe, fun environment. ARD- Youth Development Basketball League for Grades 2-8


Placer Robotics 4th Annual Girl Powered Robotics Workshop - October 12th 9 am - 3:30 pm. Go to the Events calendar for placerrobotics.org for more information.


Placer Foothills Mountain Bike Team (PFMBTC) - Our volunteer-run organization currently serves nearly 100 student athletes in middle schools (Grades 6-8) and high schools across the Placer Foothills in Rocklin, Lincoln, Loomis, Auburn, and Colfax. We are affiliated with the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and compete in interscholastic cross-country mountain bike races across Northern California in the NorCal League. We’re excited about the growth of youth mountain biking in the region and would love to see even more kids on bikes. We’re a no-cut sport where everyone participates (no one ever sits on the bench), and we offer financial support to cover expenses for families in need.  If you’d like to learn more about what we do, check out our website and contact our club President, Nate Whitson, at president@placerfoothillsmtb.com
