Hello Newcastle Discovery Club Families,

Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! I hope your children are off to a great start and enjoying their time at school.

This year, Newcastle Elementary School District is excited to share some good news — we have received additional funding to help families with the cost of after-school care through ARD Discovery Club. To determine if you qualify, you must complete the online Meal Application through LinqConnect. This is the same system used for free and reduced-price meal applications, and it will be used to determine eligibility for the Discovery Club assistance program.

How to Apply

1. Go to www.linqconnect.com.
2. Create an account (you will need your child’s Student ID, available from the school office).
3. Once logged in, click “Meal Application” on the home page.
4. Complete your family’s information and submit.

All information is confidential. The District may request documents to verify your income.

The District will notify you within 10 business days if you qualify for reimbursement.

How It Works

• 100% Paid by NESD — You will not be invoiced for Discovery Club at all.
• 75%, 50%, or 25% Paid by NESD — You will pay ARD Discovery Club as usual, then submit your receipts to NESD for partial reimbursement.

Submitting Receipts:
Email a copy of your Discovery Club receipts to mreome@newcastle.k12.ca.us or drop them off at the District Office. Reimbursements will be processed monthly.
